Every year, on the full-moon day in May, Buddhists the world over celebrate Wesak to commemorate three significant events in the life of Lord Buddha – birth, enlightenment and passing away.
Therefore, on this special day, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Buddhists, “Happy Wesak Day” with many happy returns and loving-kindness!
May the peace and harmony of the great teacher be with us all.
As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery.
We have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as
anger and attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love and compassion, a sense of universal responsibility
are the sources of peace and happiness.
